"This is a great place
to stay. My wife and I found this place by mistake but have
returned twice. We are bird watchers and it’s close to some
wonderful spots along the coast. It’s clean and very nice.
We used the kitchen and it was clean and had pots and pans
and utensils which was a big help. I used the WIFI close to
the office but it does not reach the lower rooms for my ipod.
The manager said that he was working on it and hoped to have
it up very soon. So if you’re strictly on cordless ask for a
room closer to the office.. However there are wall plugs for
corded access to the net. The town has a nice espresso bar
and bakery that’s open with limited hours. The cinnamon
rolls are very good and homemade. There are some beautiful
old building’s in town which are must a must see with a
well-landscaped park next to the pacific county courthouse.
Shopping at the local grocery is nice because it’s a larger
store with fair prices and good selections. The town also
has a well-maintained boat ramp and inexpensive fee parking
for boat trailers. Just make sure you watch you speed while
driving in all the costal areas we saw several getting
stopped along the costal roadways Its not in the AAA book so
we found it by just walking in, now its our place to stay in
that area .. the Boen’s"

Seaquest Motel was a
great place to stay. Everything was very clean and the

comfortable. Service was exceptional.

Great staff. First,
when I was making the reservation didn't even ask for credit
card. Just took my word on it. Second, very quaint and nice
to be isolated from the more touristed areas. Third, room
has VCR, DVD, Big TV, full kitchen, clean bathroom and a
whole other bedroom that we didn't even need.\ Finally and
most happily, has broadband internet which is where I am not
writing this review from.
Given the choice would come here again.

The Seaquest is a
block off the main highway (101). Ask for the large room
above the office for a deck (quirky, in that you walk out
the bathroom to get there) with a view to the river. The
room had a complete kitchen and a recliner as its main
chair. Many of the rooms are individual cottages with front
porches. It is independently owned and modestly priced. We
were very happy here. It is within a block of the Pacific
County Government Center which was built in the early 1900's
and has a beautiful tiffany dome. Oysters are the big
business in South Bend so walk from the seaquest to one of
the nearby restaurants for a seafood treat.

We've stayed at the
Seaquest three times and loved it each time. The rooms have
kitchens, nice furnishings and are very clean. The owners
are super nice. Easy walking distance to downtown
restaurants and shops. Great place to stay if you're
traveling on Hwy 101! Reasonable rates.

After some dismal
experiences with motels in the past I didn't except much, so
I was pleasantly surprised with the SeaQuest Motel in South
Bend. The owners were friendly & helpful and seemed to take
a lot of pride in their property, which was refreshing. It's
in a picturesque part of town and it looks like it's been
recently renovated-we will be back again! I only wish we had
been able to stay longer...

I have spent the night
in several decent and expensive hotels, but nothing has
compared to the amazing comfort, lovely decor, and attentive
service offered by Seaquest. The room we
stayed in was more like a one bedroom apartment than a
motel room. There was a nice carpeted
living room complete with sofa, rocking chair,
television...and a full kitchen, including a stove, full
sized refrigerator, and dishes and pots and pans to cook
your own meals during your stay. The bathroom was spacious
with a large, clean tub and some fantastic sea salt soaps
and shampoos. You also get a free rubber duck! The bedroom
features a second television and is in a separate room,
giving this motel a truly homey feel,
complete with small town charm! And the best was, all this
only ran about $80 per night. The staff was fantastic and
friendly and even offered to let us browse their DVD
collection if we got bored. If you're staying anywhere near
the South Bend area, book a room here
and you won't be disappointed. |
